Burrata, the star of this dish, is a fresh Italian cheese known for its creamy interior and delicate texture. When paired with the vibrant flavours of cherry tomatoes, it creates a sauce that is both luxurious and comforting. Burrata adds a decadent touch to the dish, making it perfect for a special dinner or a cosy night in.

Here's a simple recipe for Spaghetti with Burrata that will have you savouring every bite:



Ingredients, serves 4 Spaghetti with Burrata

  • Spaghetti, 500 g

  • Cherry tomatoes, 2 cups

  • Burrata cheese, 2

  • Shallot, 1

  • Garlic cloves, 2 (lightly crushed)

  • Fresh basil leaves, 8

  • White wine, 1 glass

  • Olive oil, 2–4 tbsp

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Parmesan cheese


Let's jump to the method


  1. In a pan, heat the olive oil and sauté the crushed garlic and the whole shallot until fragrant.

  2. Add the cherry tomatoes cut in halves to the pan and cook until they start to burst, about 5-8 minutes.

  3. Take the garlic and the shallot off the pan.

  4. Add the basil leaves and a glass of white wine.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

  6. Transfer the tomatoes to a medium size bowl, take off the basil and add the burrata cheese cut into pieces.

  7. Now, you can blend it with an electrical blender until smooth.

  8. Get ready a pot of water and once boiling add the salt and the spaghetti.

  9. When the pasta is cooked (al dente!), transfer again the tomato and burrata sauce to the pan, add the spaghetti.

  10. Add a ladle of the pasta water to make it creamy and toss the whole to combine.

  11. Garnish with the other burrata and fresh basil leaves and serve with abundant grated parmesan and enjoy!
